Day 1:- Guwahati – Shillong
On the first day of our 7 days Meghalaya tour upon arrival at Guwahati, a representative from Nexplore will meet you and welcome you. After that, we take you to Shillong, known as the Scotland of East which takes around 3 hrs. Shillong will be your host for the first day of the tour. Enroute take a short tea break at Borapani lake(Umium Lake). On reaching Shillong check-in at hotel and take some rest.
Day 2:- Shillong – Cherrapunji
Today after breakfast drive to Cherrapunji, one of the mystical regions on earth also acclaimed as the place with the highest rainfall in the world. Enroute visit Elephant Falls. On reaching visit Mawkdok Dympep Valley, Nohkalikai Falls, Arwah cave, Mawsmai cave and Nohsngithiang Falls or Seven sister falls, Eco Park etc.
You can also enjoy delicious Maggie and tea as well as buy a catchy souvenir in the small market complex located near the Mawsmai cave. After a whole day of sightseeing return to your hotel in the evening.
Day 3:- Cherrapunji
Early morning after breakfast go for a visit to Wah-kaba water falls. Then visit thangkharang park,Eco park. Overnight stay at Cherrapunjee.
Day 4:- Cherrapunji – Mawlynnong and Dawki
Today you will visit the cleanest village in Asia, Mawlynnong village. Apart from the wonderful Nohwet living root bridge(Jingmaham Living Root Bridge) located nearby you can also experience climbing in a skywalk and have some traditional lunch in a homestay in the village.
Post lunch visit Dawki a small town located on the south-eastern border of Meghalaya where you can enjoy boating and other adventure Falls. Dawki is renowned for crystal clear waters where everything seems to be floating from the top. Enroute stop at spectacular Bohill falls. After a full day of enjoyment return to your homestay at Mawlynnong/Dawki and spend the evening at rest.
Day 5:- Mawlynnong to Shnongpdeng
After a delicious breakfast, we’ll head towards the iconic Dawki River which is famous for its transparent waters that makes the entire scenery look absolutely splendid. En route, we’d visit the Krang Shuri waterfall which is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Meghalaya with its silky cascading water. We’ll also be visiting Laitlum Canyons from where you can capture a spellbinding view of the rolling green valleys, winding roads and glistening waterfalls. Upon arrival in Dawki, we’ll check into our riverside camps in Shnongpdeng which is a small village tucked peacefully in nature’s lap. At around sunset, we will also host a bonfire session. We will be spending our night at the camps in Shnongpdeng indulging in group bonding sessions over Dinner.
Note: The bonfire will depend on the weather.
Day 6:- Shnongpdeng to Shillong
Today you will visit the most famous attractions in Shillong. Start with a visit to Ward’s lake then Shillong cathedral, Don Bosco Museum and proceed to most beautiful masterpiece on earth the Laitlum canyon. It takes around 2 hrs to reach this place from Shillong city. Spend some quality time enjoying the fresh air at Laitlum canyon. You can also go trekking down the stairs and observe the stunning surrounding closely.
Check in the hotel in the by evening.
Day 7:- Departure
Early morning after breakfast drive to Guwahati Airport for your onward journey home.
